In 2014, Paul Lord, our Herbivore Milfoil Control Consultant, found curlyleaf pondweed in Woodridge Lake. This had not before been discovered by ACT, our consultant on weed composition.
In 2015, this weed was found in several locations and many members mistakenly thought it was Milfoil. This weed grows under the winter ice cover and shows on the lake surface in the Spring. It also dies down by early Summer. It is an invasive weed and needs to be controlled.
