PROVIDE INFORMATION WLPOA MEMBERS WILL NEED TO MAINTAIN A HEALTHY LAKE FOR ALL FORMS OF RECREATION. WE WANT TO MAINTAIN A LAKE WHICH WILL SATISFY MEMBERS WHO SWIM, BOAT, WATERSKI, AND FISH IN WOODRIDGE LAKE. THE ASSOCIATION SPENDS SIGNIFICANT FUNDS TO CONTROL INVASIVE WEEDS (EURASIAN MILFOIL/CURLY LEAF PONDWEED) AND ANIMALS (ZEBRA MUSSELS). WE WANT TO MAKE SURE MEMBERS HAVE THE INFORMATION THEY NEED TO DECIDE WHICH CONTROL METHODOLOGIES WILL BE USED TO CONTROL THESE INVASIVE WEEDS AND OTHER INVASIVE PLANTS AND ANIMALS AT THE LOWEST COST AND WITH THE LEAST NEGATIVE IMPACT.
THE LAKE IS THE “JEWEL” OF OUR COMMUNITY AND WE ARE DEDICATED TO KEEP IT THAT WAY. WE ARE SO FORTUNATE TO HAVE A LAKE WHICH IS BEAUTIFUL, HEALTHY, AND ENJOYABLE. THIS IS WHAT DISTINGUISHES WOODRIDGE LAKE FROM OTHER LAKE COMMUNITIES IN THE NORTHEAST. OUR LAKE IS PRISTINE AND IS SUPPORTED BY A PRISTINE WATERSHED. THIS MEANS THAT THERE ARE NO CHEMICALS FLOWING INTO THIS WATERSHED AND WE WANT TO KEEP IT THAT WAY.
Woodridge Lake Views was created in 2014 to ensure that valuable information about Woodridge Lake is provided to WLPOA members. It is a work in progress and will grow as we add more information and as our research discovers more. .

Woodridge Lake Property Association members are diverse. We have a common interest in the Lake. Members live here on an all year basis (50%) or use this as a summer or weekend retreat. Members may work in the Litchfield hills area or work and live in the greater New York City area.
The community enjoys many recreational activities:
Fishing: The lake has traditionally been a hot fishing spot for Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Pickerel, Muskie, Walleye, and pan fish. The Association does stock Trout for Spring and Summer fishing, but the lake is not conducive to Trout propagation. Soon after the annual Trout stocking in April, a fishing derby is held for the children. A Fishing Club is being formed by members to help everyone learn how to fish Woodridge Lake.
Boating: The lake is a great water body for boating, water skiing, sailing, and kayaking. Boats are limited to 20 feet in length. There are docks available to members. Currently, there is approximately a three year waiting list. There is a boat launch.
Swimming: There are three beaches available to swimmers and bathers as well as a swimming pool.
Tennis: The Association has eight tennis courts for members. Four of the courts are HardTru. There is a Tennis Professional who is available for tennis lessons and clinics. The Association also has an annual tennis tournament.
Social Activities: The Association offers social activities all season long. During the Summer Season there are several concerts offered on Thursday and Saturday evenings. (Unfortunately, the WLPOA Board cut these concerts by 50% for the 2016 season. If you would like to return to a full concert schedule, direct your requests to the WLPOA Board.) These are well-attended and members mostly grill their own food or buy food from the concession stand. During the Winter Season, the events include concerts, potluck dinners, and dinner/dancing.
Clubhouse: Our Clubhouse is a wonderful facility with beautiful views of the lake. Not only is it a pleasant place to read and relax, it is also a good place for members to gather or hold family functions. For larger groups, the Clubhouse is available for rental. Reservations are required which may be arranged through the Office.
Fitness Room: The Clubhouse contains a fitness room available for members.
Youth Activities: Each Summer, the Association offers a program of youth activities.
Children’s Playground: There is playground equipment for younger children.
Other facilities: basketball court. Ping Pong Tables. Picnic Tables and Grills.
Our community is organized as a homeowners association. It is not a country club, a tennis club, nor a yacht club. Our members need to be vigilant to ensure that rules are not established that will keep members away from Clubhouse activities, entertainment events and participating leadership because of country club type rules. Meetings follow the tradition of New England’s town meetings in which members have the right to speak to protect their property interests.
The Association is financially secure. The WLPOA has a major capital reserve fund to pay for capital repairs and replacements over the next several years. The capital reserve requirements are funded at approximately the 90% level which makes the WLPOA one of the financially strongest homeowner associations.
